They refused and would not consult her vascular surgeon in Indianapolis - where she had cartiod surgery done on Nov. 5th (about) they noticed scar ascked the Q' but never acted on them- they were given the letter for the follow-up appoinment on Dec. 2 2004 with all the phone #'s -
We will never recomment PMH to anyone nor will we ever go there for any type of medical treamtent evealuation - There is outstanding bills that she refused to pay - that has her name on them as guarantor only and they have put the husbands name on them and forcing him into court every other month - I know they have been written off long ago because of the federal grants that the hospital has had while she was a patient and after she was a patient the week in PHM and 2 weeks in Indianapolis that was in excess of $90,000,00 and the help was the she finally got paid for that - but it the $20,000.00
W were told there was nothing wrong with her each time - athe ER visit only we were told to wait and hour to see if the headaches would go away --- the next visit the daughter was told all they/we could do was we bring her in they would stabalize her and they would send her home --- the last time we got her in we demanded she be sent back to Indianapolis - PMH refused to do so - same more tests the same they had been doing all week - came out said it was "low sodium" it was not low sodium -
that the week of non-concern at PHM which caused the storke(s) should of never been paid to them -
Thanks to that attitude we had to overule them call Indianapolis our selves and get her transported - the day of transport even with medical orders fromher Indianapolis surgeon they tried to tell they family because she did not want to go they could not send her - On the way to Indianapolis she had some type of strolke/crisis in ambulance as they passed us lights no sirens 80 miles an hour plus - on morning of 23rd he had a major stroke which left her whole left side paralysised - and was in Methodist hospital 2 weeks because of PMH - and now permenantly in a local nursing for the rest of her life because they refused to recognize the stroke symptoms and listen to the family members of what was going -
I am sorry I have no good remarks for Pulaski Memorial Hospital - From the 13th of Nov - 22 of Nov 2004 they all but tried to kill my friend - we would take her in by ambulance or by car with stroke symptoms - they would keep her on a 10/12 hour observe or the one time just the 4-5 hours in ER
She went in with stroke symptoms each time but was kept only over night for observe 10/12 or sent home immediately - Its best summed up in Dr. Parker's word to a family member "All they can do is bring her in and we will stabalize her and send her home"
In fact it was almost a year of non concern as we started taking her in March of 2004 when we could not get her awake - - we would describe how she acted after she was dismissed and sent home = and she would tell them she did not rememeber the spells or deny having them - eqach time she would ask "how she got this little box in her chest" A pacemaker - They refused o lisen to family - - and they did not listen to the patient in my mind they should of known someothign was not right when she denied having the spells - asked about the pacemaker each visit -
